Description

The Woman in the Window” is a psychological thriller novel by A.J. Finn, a pen name to author Daniel Mallory, published in 2018. The story revolves around Anna Fox, an agoraphobic woman who passes her days drinking wine and spying through the window on her neighbors in her apartment in New York City. Her life takes a dramatic turn with an eventful watching of something awful through the window of her new neighbors, the Russell family.

As she tries to peel open the truth about what she has seen, her credibility becomes compromised due to her battles with mental illness, medication, and alcoholism. Thus, the themes of isolation, trust, and reality are played with the reader in trying to determine if Anna can be trusted as a reliable narrator and if the events she witnessed are real or imagined.

It is Hitchcockian suspense that has no less a similarity with “Rear Window” but will twist and reveal the horrors until the very end.
