Description

A heartwarming and empowering young adult novel, “The Moonlight Dreamers” by Siobhan Curham follows the lives of four teenage girls who become friends over their shared dreams and mutual support: Amber, Maali, Sky, and Rose. They call themselves the Moonlight Dreamers, after an inspiration to dare live life differently, out of the expectations of society and all people around them.
Amber is the founder of the group Moonlight Dreamers. She feels somehow ignored at school with her bullies making life unbearable and loving too much poetry which appears prohibited. Inspired by Oscar Wilde, she thinks that dreams are big and reached out to gather like-minded girls.

Maali: A shy and deeply devout girl who is very much into photography, on her quest for self-confidence and whatever her life path is destined to take. Finding her voice, believing in herself are part of the journey.

Sky: A young girl who lost her mom at a very young age lives on a houseboat with her dad. She struggles through grief but finds comfort through her creativity and solidarity with the rest.

She’s a rebellious fashion blogger whose complicated relationship with her stepmother makes her feel disconnected from her peers. However, despite her tough exterior, she still wants to be accepted and loved for who she is and have true friends.
