Description
The Great Gatsby which is authored by F. Scott Fitzgerald is one of the most famous novels written by an American author and was published in the year 1925. It tells us the story of a self-made man, Jay Gatsby who was mad after a wealthy woman called Daisy Buchanan whom he loved from his past. Considerable as the influence of the movie is on the human emotions, it still implies the Amercian dream and passion for riche which is presented in New York in to the tale narrated by Nick Carraway in the 1920s. Nick moves to the other part of Long Island called the West Egg where he meets Gatsby, who intends to get back with his wife Daisy but she’s now married to Tom Buchanan. When Gatsby’s electricity is rekindled with Daisy, Tom finds out that Ggatsby has been selling prohibited substances like liquor and blurts out that his wealth has come from being involved in ilegal activities. This is a tragic event which occurs when Daisy, driving Gatsby’s car, runs over and kills Tom’s girlfriend, Myrtle Wilson. After that, Myrtle’s husband shoots Gatsby and himself. Scarcely praised at first, The Great Gatsby was eventually rediscovered in the fifties and has become widely acclaimed as a literature classic of America and has been the topic for more than one movie.
