Description
Defy Me picks right where Ignite Me left off-finding Juliette Ferrars as she navigates the complications of identity, powers, and the shades of love that draw her all over. Shocked and reeling from a major betrayal, Juliette finds herself trying to untangle her feelings about Warner and Adam while untangling the fallout caused by her abilities and what she has become in the fight against The Reestablishment.
The novel further explores Juliette’s connection with Warner, even deeper into his character, background, and motivations. As they face the oppression of The Reestablishment on the external side and the internal struggle of trust and love, Juliette starts to realize the reality of her powers and the burden that comes with those powers.
New characters and other angles are still introduced in this book as there is a glimpse into the world beyond Juliette’s experiences. Alliances continue to shift, and tensions build up, and now Juliette needs to face her past, her emotions, and her choices in order to lead the rebellion against the oppressive regime.
