Plot Summary: Ten people each with a secret in their past receive a mysterious invitation to join a weekend on Soldier Island, an isolated location off the coast of Devon. All guests arrive except for one and very soon into the weekend, a recording made by an unknown party accuses each guest of a particular crime they committed in the past for which they escaped punishment. As the participants become aware that there is a murderer lurking in the group, they begin to die one by one, in accordance with the cadence of a nursery rhyme called “Ten Little Soldiers.” The suspense mounts as trust dwindles and the remaining people attempt to discover who the other is-the murderer or the murderer’s next victim.
The ending is set with a chilling revelation of how and why the murders took place, with the identity of the killer being one of the most famous twists in Christie.
