Description
The Midnight Library revolves around the life of Nora Seed, who is 35 years old, with feelings of regret and dissatisfaction toward her life. Following some personal crises, including losing her job and then her beloved cat, she decides to end her life. Instead of death, she finds herself in an unknown library that has existed somewhere in between life and death.
Each book in this library is a different version of her life, based on what she might have done if she had taken another choice. Nora goes exploring those possibilities, experiencing what might have been if she’d chosen that path instead: maybe become a famous musician, or a glaciologist, or a mother, or whatever.
As Nora continues with these possibilities, she learns about true knowledge on happiness, regret, and embracing life’s uncertainty. She ultimately finds out that each choice has its flaws and that peace and fulfillment are more about perspective than perfection.
